Colors Magazine Celebrates Art and Culture at San Francisco's Academy of Art University

Last week marked the highly anticipated first trip across the Atlantic for world-renowned Colors magazine.

San Francisco (PRWEB) April 30, 2008 -- Enrico Bossan and Erik Ravelo, the editorial and creative directors of Colors magazine, along with Babak Payami, acclaimed director of video and film at Fabrica, visited the Academy of Art University and its leading design school to launch a series of events surrounding Money, the latest issue of Colors magazine, and its traveling U.S. exhibition, which is currently on display in the Academy's 79 Gallery.

"We chose the Academy of Art University for this first trip across the Atlantic because it follows the same motto and philosophy as Fabrica - built by artists for artists. I strongly and proudly believe that a fruitful future of collaboration between Fabrica and the Academy of Art University has been seeded," said Payami.

Colors magazine is part of Fabrica's publishing activities. The quarterly magazine is published in four languages and sold in over 40 countries. Thirteen issues of Colors were ranked by Good Magazine as one of the 51 best magazines ever, and the full series of Colors was included in the 25/25 exhibition, featuring the 25 most influential design objects of the past 25 years, at the Design Museum, London. "We refer to Colors as the magazine for the rest of the world. It covers issues that touch the core of humanity - themes that reach beyond the slice of time we live in and transcend the foolishness that sometimes overtakes the collective human psyche," said Fabrica's Babak Payami.

Fabrica, Benetton Group's communication research center, is headquartered in Treviso, Italy. The dream child of Luciano Benetton and Olivero Toscani, Fabrica is fully funded by Benetton. Fabrica's purpose is to create an environment of independence for young, ambitious, and audacious artists who have no fear of the unknown.
