Increasingly manufacturers are challenged with the task of engineering complex automation solutions in order to maintain a competitive advantage in areas like manufacturing processes. The pace of technology often leaves these businesses short on resources, technical know-how, and time to effectively and efficiently meet those challenges. Isotech, Inc., a supplier of linear motion components, is increasing in-house automation engineering capabilities to meet the demand for outsourced automation engineering.

Isotech Inc., a supplier of precision linear motion products, has increased their engineering staff to meet the growing demand for skilled automation control platform and application engineering services. In addition to supplying a full range of linear motion products and aiding clients in technical product decisions, Isotech will now offer engineering services for complete motion control systems.

"Increasingly, our clients are challenged with the task of engineering complex automation solutions in order to maintain a competitive advantage in areas like manufacturing processes," said Joe Casillo, president of Isotech. "The pace of technology often leaves these businesses short on resources, technical know-how, and time to effectively and efficiently meet those challenges."

In an effort to provide businesses in similar situations with a cost-effective engineering solution, Isotech has expanded their technical staff to six experienced motion control product specialists and engineers. The staff is capable of both helping clients with technical product selection decisions, as well as full engineering of complete motion systems.

"We have always prided ourselves as a supplier that possesses a firm understanding of not only what product will work best for an application," said Casillo, "but a firm understanding of how to integrate all components necessary to carry out that application."
Casillo added that the new engineering service offering will focus on helping clients engineer solutions for a wide variety of control platforms and applications.

The new engineering services will include PLC or PC based machine control automation, motion control systems from single axis up to 32 axes of coordinated motion, vision systems with simple camera based applications up to full PC based, and integrated control of laser drilling, cutting, and printing.

The level of involvement from Isotech engineering services will also vary depending on the client requirements from design consultation and providing functional design specifications, to complete turn-key system integration and post-installation engineering support.

Isotech is uniquely positioned as both a regional representative for OEM products in Pennsylvania, a distributor of linear motion products, and a motion control system engineering solutions provider serving the industrial, medical and military OEM and in-plant markets.
