Central Coast Labs, Inc., a San Luis Obispo based manufacturer and marketer of personal care products, announced that they have acquired the CREO™ brand of hair care products and formulas. CREO™ is a premium product sold through high end salons and direct to consumers. The company plans to aggressively expand distribution of the CREO™ line nationally through salons and direct to consumer sales. The company recently redesigned the CREO™ website located at http://www.creocare.com, including an online store accessible by salons and consumers alike, as a first step in expanding CREO™ distribution.

CREO™ was developed by Co-Founder and Chief Chemist, Karl Wright. Mr. Wright stated, "In the short time since launching CREO™, it has enjoyed excellent customer adoption and loyalty. However, most of the country has never even heard of CREO™ at this point. We are pleased to join Central Coast Labs and are looking forward to expanding the exposure of CREO™." Mr. Wright went on to say that Central Coast Labs will introduce CREO™ styling products later this year as well as a skin care line and nutritional supplements under other brand names.

Among the CREO™ line of products is a sulfate free hair cleanser. According to the Company's CEO, Adam Anthony, "Most shampoos use sulfate based detergents as their primary surfactant. Most general consumers have no idea how damaging these harsh chemicals can be to hair and skin or that they are even using them. We believe that as consumers become more aware of the harmful effects of sulfate based detergents, they will abandon them in favor of sulfate free products offered at comparable prices. For those who want the very best, CREO™ delivers great value."

Central Coast Labs is currently developing other sulfate free formulas that will be launched under separate brand names later this year. These new product lines will carry a lower price point and will be positioned to compete against moderately priced sulfate based products.

In addition to being sulfate free, CREO™ formulas are also free of DEA's, oxides, harmful detergents and foam boosters. In lab tests, CREO™ has proven to retain color 45% longer than the next leading brand and is available online or at salons in Dallas, Tucson, and throughout California. Visit the company's website for a list of salons or to order a free trial sample.
