South Lake Marine and Powersports from Lexington, SC is proud to announce that their Triton Pro Staff Angler Craig Fredrychowski won the TBF National Championship on Lake Wylie April, 26, 2008. His win secured a prize package of $10,000 that includes a berth into the BFL All-American in Hot Springs, Arkansas in May and the 2008 Forrest Wood Cup held on Lake Murray in August as a Co-Angler.

Lexington, SC (PRWEB) May 2, 2008 -- South Lake Marine and Powersports of Lexington announced today that their Triton Pro Staff, Craig Fredrychowski won the TBF National Championship held on Lake Wylie, April 23 - 26, 2008.

Fredrychowski of Lexington, SC, representing the Southern Division overcame a 2-pound, 7-ounce deficit on the final day thanks to a five bass limit weighing 7-07 that boosted his three-day total to 14 bass weighing 26-11. The win included a $10,000 prize package that included co-angler entry into the 2008 Forrest Wood Cup held on Lake Murray in August for a chance to fish for as much as $50,000. He also earned a berth into the BFL All-American along with the top co-angler from each TBF divisions for a chance to fish for as much as $70,000 in Hot Springs, Arkansas on Lake Hamilton in May.

"Qualifying for the Forrest Wood Cup that is being held on my home waters of Lake Murray in August is really a dream come true," Fredrychowski said. "Everything just felt right this week, I had great partners." Fredrychowski stated, "I started this run last year by being points leader in South Carolina and then securing one of the top 2 spots for South Carolina at the Divisonal Tournament held in Alabama last September. The Championship was just the next step. Even though I am not use to fishing out of the back of the boat as a co-angler this tournament really worked in my favor."

"As a Co-Angler it is often difficult to secure a limit each day especially when the the bite relies on site and bed fishing, Fredrychowski said. "I caught 13 of my fish this week on a 5 ¼ inch hand poured Trigger Worm by Cache Custom Lures on a variety of shaky heads by covering a lot of water out the back of the boat while my boater concentrated on fishing beds."

The $2 million Forrest Wood Cup, presented by Castrol will be held in Lake Murray August 14-17, 2008. The event is expected to draw thousands of bass fishing fans to the Midlands region. Lake Murray has produced many Pro Bass Anglers and it is our pleasure to have one of the next upcoming Pro Anglers on our Pro Staff here at South Lake Marine and Powersports.
