When you count football players at every level
Litchfield, IL (PRWEB) May 1, 2008
The biggest day of the year for collegiate football players is NFL® Draft Day. This year in New York, three of the top four players selected trusted Schutt Sports to help them reach the ultimate goal. These elite players demand the very best from their equipment, especially so from their helmet.
Schutt has long been the team these players turn to for the very best performance from their equipment. Schutt is the world's #1 maker of football helmets and faceguards and many of the players drafted over the weekend have worn Schutt helmets since they were playing youth games on Tuesday nights.
"When you count football players at every level," Dave Rossi, Chief Marketing Officer at Schutt Sports, "Between 55% - 60% wear Schutt Helmets. It's only natural that many of the stars that rise through the ranks will take Schutt right along with them."
Jake Long, an offensive lineman from Michigan, was drafted first overall by the Miami Dolphins. He was followed by defensive Chris Long, of Virginia, who was tabbed by the St. Louis Rams. Darren McFadden, a running back from Arkansas, was taken fourth overall by the Oakland Raiders. All of those players used helmets from Schutt Sports during their collegiate careers.
"Incredible football talent demands incredible football equipment," says Kip Meyer, Vice President/General Manager of Schutt Sports. "These players are the best of the best; they know what works for them and what doesn't work. They choose our helmets because they help them perform their absolute best. We're proud to be a part of the success they've built for themselves on the football field."
Current NFL® stars, Eli Manning and Reggie Bush, were added to Team Schutt in 2007. Bush was the Heisman Trophy winner in 2005 while Manning recently won the MVP Award in Super Bowl XLII. The players work with Schutt on product development and serve as spokesmen for the brand.
Will there be another Eli Manning or Reggie Bush in this year's crop of top NFL® draft picks? Who knows? One thing is for sure, however: they're getting the start the same way - wearing the world's best football helmets from Schutt Sports.
