Cassadaga Festival to Feature International Recording Artist Fernando Varela Saturday May 17

The Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp, known around the world as home to dozens of Certified Mediums and Healers, is attracting international attention once again. This time it's not just the voices of the deceased getting all the attention, it's the strong tenor voice of international recording artist Fernando Varela. The yearly Cassadaga Festival on Saturday May 17 will showcase local artists and musicians and culminate in a special live performance of Varela's "Touched By Spirit" concert in the Colby Memorial Temple.

Cassadaga, FL (PRWEB) May 3, 2008 -- This small Florida town will be busting out in song all day with local musicians performing on a stage in the park area outside Colby Memorial Temple. Visitors will be serenaded with a variety of styles ranging from folk to rock to acoustic jazz as they stroll through this picturesque setting of graceful oaks and greenery while enjoying the various artists' and vendors' booths lining the walkways. Historical Walking Tours are scheduled to begin at 1 PM and 3 PM and an Orb Photography Tour starts at 8 PM. Mini-readings by SCSCMA Certified Mediums will be available in the Andrew Jackson Davis Building where the Welcome Center and Bookstore are located. Informational talks on spiritual and metaphysical topics will be conducted and local authors will be available for book signing. Cassadaga is known as a center for Spiritualist Healers as well as Mediums and will have SCSCMA Certified Healers on hand for complimentary sessions. BioGenesis Energy Treatments and Therapeutic Massage will also be available. The movie "The Resonance in Residence, an Inner and Outer Quantum Journey" will be shown from 7 to 9 PM in the A. J. The Cassadaga Festival will culminate in the "Touched By Spirit" concert with Fernando Varela at 4 PM in the Colby Memorial Temple. Varela, in demand on stages in 24 countries from New York in the U.S. to Monte Carlo in Monaco, has generously donated his time and talent to benefit the Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp, a non-profit religious and educational organization. This is a rare opportunity to experience this exciting and dynamic performer, dubbed a "Puerto Rican Pavarotti," in an intimate, inspirational setting. Please call 866-845-4827 to purchase tickets - $30 for adults, student and senior tickets are just $20. More information can be found on Varela's web site.
