Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) May 2, 2008 -- The Shandon Anderson Foundation today announced that applications are still being accepted for its Second Annual 49 Scholarship Program. The foundation intends to award five $1,000 scholarships to outstanding Atlanta Public School System High School Seniors.

The foundation will award the scholarships to the winners at The Second Annual Forty-Nine Scholarship Luncheon ceremony honoring the students and their families on June 12, 2008 at Nani Salon and Spa located in Atlantic Station from 11:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m.

The Forty-Nine Scholarship Luncheon will pay homage the resilience of the student athlete spirit as well as their parents, teachers, coaches and school systems which make it possible for young people to find the balance between academics and sportsmanship.
