Cleveland, Ohio (PRWEB) May 5, 2008
Predictive Service, a global leader in providing managed reliability programs utilizing predictive technologies, today announced it has entered into an agreement with eMaint Enterprises, LLC, a leading software developer and provider of computerized maintenance management systems, to integrate their respective web-based software platforms to provide customers with an unmatched ability to manage their maintenance requirements.
"We're excited to be working with a visionary company like eMaint that shares our philosophy of providing a totally web-based offering while continuously improving that offering to better serve customers," said Don Frankel, president, Predictive Service. "We bring immediate value to customers of both companies by providing them with an option to get added value through a more comprehensive and powerful maintenance tool."
Predictive Services' signature web-based management system, ViewPoint®, provides a comprehensive view of all predictive maintenance inspection activities, data and results across facilities. eMaint X3 On-Demand is a web-based computerized maintenance management system for tracking, monitoring and controlling all maintenance and service activities. The integration will allow data to be automatically shared between the two software platforms for customers who use both solutions.
Managed reliability through predictive services is one component of an overall maintenance management strategy. Predictive Service customers who have been using ViewPoint to manage their predictive maintenance programs will now have access to a complete computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to manage all maintenance-related assets. Customers who use eMaint to manage their overall maintenance programs will have access to much more detailed predictive maintenance information about facilities, essential infrastructure systems and individual assets, as well as access to Predictive Service's predictive inspection services.
"In this economic environment, predictive maintenance and condition monitoring are top of mind as organizations try to extend the life of their existing equipment," said Brian Samelson, President of eMaint Enterprises. "We are pleased to partner with a leader in predictive maintenance services and online predictive maintenance software. The partnership brings our customers a full-bodied maintenance management system that now includes greatly enhanced capabilities to manage predictive maintenance activities."
The integration of the two software platforms automates what has up to now been a manual process for customers. For example, customers who use ViewPoint and a CMMS program would have to print out reports and manually enter predictive maintenance data in their CMMS to generate maintenance work orders, complete the task and close out the work order. They would then have to also manually close out the work order in ViewPoint. Now, data from both systems will automatically move back and forth to provide additional knowledge and make managing maintenance programs easier for customers such as manufacturers, property and facility managers, hotels, school districts, universities, hospitals, service providers, contractors, utility authorities and municipalities.
This joint offering will package the functionality and pricing that provides small and medium sized organizations access to the same top-line predictive maintenance and maintenance management programs that only much larger organizations could previously afford.
