St. Petersburg, Russia (PRWEB) May 3, 2008
ELVA-1 has installed 71-76 GHz and 81-86 GHz frequency band ultra high speed Radio Links for Czech Internet Service Provider STARNET, s.r.o. Czech Republic is yet another country to have authorized the use of PPC-1000 Gigabit Ethernet links, even though only 74-76 & 84-86 GHz frequency licensed bands are available there for commercial use. For this market, a special PPC-1000 Radio Link at 75 and 85 GHz carrier frequencies was produced, which provides STARNET the opportunity to utilize the approved 74-76 / 84-86 GHz frequency band.
Martin Covar, STARNET expert said, "We are very satisfied with the quality of radios from ELVA-1 Company, and they enable us to set up a point-to-point type system in one or two days. One of the main reasons for choosing ELVA-1 links was that they have obtained CE Mark registration, which is essential for equipment used in Europe. All of their equipment satisfies the specified requirements. The installation of these radios in our network was like adding a fiberoptics cable connected end-to-end, but without the costly and time-consuming fiberoptic cabling labor. That's why ELVA-1 wireless mm-wave Radio Links are an ideal solution for STARNET to provide our customers with ultra high speed services."
The Law of General Authorization for radio frequency use and operation of fixed radio systems equipment in the 74-76 GHz and 84-86 GHz bands was passed by the Ministry of Telecommunication of the Czech Republic on April 21, to permit operating a station without individual authorization for the use of radio frequencies. An advantage of 74-76 & 84-86 GHz frequency band is the absence of mutual radio links interferential noise. Multipath reflections are non-existent at these frequencies, and the narrow beam width of the Cassegrain Antenna allows many radio links to work simultaneously in the same area. One condition of the Czech Authorization is that the radio systems (stations) may operate only with minimal antenna gain of 43 dBi and antenna input power of 30 dBm maximum. ELVA-1 PPC-1000 Gigabit Radio Links satisfy these requirements.
PPC-1000 is a full-duplex Gigabit point-to-point link especially designed according to ECC and FCC requirements. It provides interconnection between remote LAN segments at the ultra high capacity of 1.25 Gbps and utilizes Gigabit Ethernet protocol, which is the evolving standard for switches and routers available from a variety of telecommunication equipment manufacturers. ELVA-1 is also the first company in the broadband market to offer multi Gigabit-per-second 40.5-43.5 GHz frequency band radio links.
ELVA's PPC-1000 links provide an effective alternative solution for European Countries to connect its remote regions wirelessly. The operating distances of this Radio Link vary from 1.0 to 7.5 miles depending on the link frequency and rain intensity. Its fiber-class data rate, ease of installation and affordable cost make the PPC-1000-E an ideal solution for WiFi or mobile network backhaul links, business WAN or IP telephony gateway connections, metropolitan area networks and rapid-deployment emergency communications.
To attract attention of European countries to this new outstanding equipment, ELVA-1 has announced a special "E-band GigE Radios" promotion. If a customer will accept PR conditions that vendor will have rights to publish information regarding tests and usage of the radio by this customer, ELVA-1 is ready to supply one Gbps link at just 50% of list-price! During the promotion, PPC-1000-E Gigabit Ethernet links are available through the ELVA's VARs in many EU countries who are responsible for local sales/support and placing orders to the vendor.
The adoption of a unique signal modulation technology has enabled ELVA-1 to develop new 10 Gigabit-per-second radio links in the 71-76 & 81-86 GHz frequency bands. These links were successfully tested in December 2006, and have already been proposed by ELVA-1 to potential customers.
