Three of the nation's experts in interactive student recruiting will lead an intensive one-day workshop aimed at helping college admissions and marketing professionals better understand the tools and techniques for engaging today's highly social students.

TargetX, the leading interactive recruiting firm serving higher education, has created the latest in its popular series of one-day workshops: "Interactive Recruiting Redefined: Online, In Print and In Person."

The workshop will be offered on three dates in three cities:

  • July 10, Boston
  • August 14, Chicago
  • October 23, Charlotte

The fee is $350 and covers a full day of sessions, all workshop materials, continental breakfast, lunch and refreshments in the afternoon. In addition, attendees will have an opportunity after the workshop to meet one-on-one with presenters to discuss their specific challenges and needs.

There is also an optional second day when TargetX clients, prospects and workshop attendees can learn about the company's products and services, and hear about its plans for the future. There is no charge for the second day.

"This workshop is for college professionals who are struggling to keep up with the enormous changes in student recruiting," said TargetX CEO Brian Wm. Niles. "We'll help them cope with the challenges of connecting with their best-fit students in ways that are authentic and distinctive."

Niles, who is nationally recognized as an interactive marketer and a leading authority on electronic recruiting, will be one of the presenters. He will be joined by Jeff Kallay, one of the more provocative and entertaining voices in higher education today, and by Adrienne Bartlett, an expert on the use of new media and the social web in admissions.

The three speakers will be joined by admissions and marketing officers from around the country who will share their experiences and offer insights into the changing nature of interactive recruiting.

Workshop sessions will include:

  • A New Approach to Your Communication Plan

This is the latest in the popular series of one-day workshops offered by TargetX. Starting in 2004, the workshops have attracted over a thousand participants from colleges throughout the United States and Canada.
