Four Rhode Island Girls' Myspace Popularity Lands Them US touring Deal and International Recognizance

Whoever said progress is a slow progress was not talking about these four Rhode Island chicks. Discovered by an internet fashion pioneer, Natasha Luigui, Jessica Pineda, Stephanie Goncalves, and Taylor Hope Mims are going international with their image. Traveling the United States this summer, they are soon to be featured on some of Europe's most famous sneaker and street wear world wide web sites.

There are 4 famous faces to recognize around Rhode Island today. Natasha Luigui, better known as Tasha Hype, Jessica Pineda, Stephanie Goncalves, and Taylor Hope Mims have become the forefront of the internationally growing model and sneakers project "Kicks and Chicks." Already 4 of the most popular girls of myspace, they are standing head and shoulders above other print models with thousands following their career. Now this group of Rhode Islanders are pushing even further with their new career, going on tour around the United States.

The four Rhode Island talents were scouted by fashion industry success Rodrick Rainey. Young, beautiful, and claiming their fame, these 4 ladies are taking off head first into the world of modeling but not in a typical style. Modeling for various street wear and hip hop clothing lines, with a focus on the exclusive sneakers, these Rhode Islanders are not just local but are flying to various states for their photo shoots, living a life with free airfare and travel.

"Modeling isn't easy and I think that was the funniest part of all this because not all of them ad experience and as always, thought it was easy. America's Next Top Model can't teach it all but Tyra does make the job easier giving that open window to look in," says creative director of Kicks and Chicks, Rodrick Rainey.

"Discovering new talent is great. When they are this good in front of the camera naturally, it's even greater," said Rainey speaking of what he calls his pulchritudinous superstars.

Preparing for a summer tour that will take them from Boston, Massachusetts and New York City down to West Florida, these ladies have a busy summer ahead of them. At each city, fans that have been generated from various sneaker culture blogs and web sites, along with their profiles, will be gathering at specific locations to chat and take pictures with the models, followed by a very sexy fashion show.

"The fashion show will be sexy. Very sexy. I won't go into details, but we guarantee everyone who attends will walk away with a new experience," says Rafael Clinkscales, fashion brand relations manager.

Over 25 clothing brands and 2 sneaker companies have sponsored the Kicks and Chicks project. Multi-million dollar clothing brand executives and founders such as Keith Perrin (founder of Fubu / Keith Perrin Modeling Agency) and Yomi Martin (co-founder of Apple Bottoms) have even actively communicated with Kicks and Chicks project director thanks to Myspace popularity.

Releasing less than 10% of photographs taken to the public via, each model has proven able to take detailed direction and perform some body bending posses without hesitation.

Brands such as 8 and 9 designs of Miami, Florida and Gordon Gartrale Garments have been adamant about the usage of the Rhode island models for their upcoming projects. Major Australian brand Coogi brand has also reached out to Kicks and Chicks for model Taylor Hope, looking to use her as a digital and print model.

Internationally,, a new e-zine for sneaker lovers in Germany, has also put together a deal for the Kicks and Chicks models to be featured in their monthly digital Publication. Receiving hundreds of thousands of views monthly from across Europe, the deal would put these Rhode Island girls on Germany's most famous sneaker web sites under Kicks O Meters new programming deal for site reviews.

Darenya Swann, Queens radio host and blogger will be personal assistant for each model upon travel to keep fans abreast of what's going on with your favorite Rhode Island stars.
