BAM Radio Network Strikes a Chord With Grassroots Parenting Sites

Steady stream of parenting sites joining the network

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 9, 2008 -- The BAM Radio Network (BRN), a joint project of Moving & Learning and Jackstreet Media, is pleased to announce that the network is receiving strong interest from grassroots parenting sites online. Since the first of the year the network has seen a steady and increasing stream of small and privately owned parenting sites joining the network. Sites that join the network are able to bring BRN's premier program, "Body Mind and Child" (www.bodymindandchild.com) to their audiences. These sites see participating in the BAM Radio Network as a low-cost way to add significant value to their online presence and deliver high-quality content to their visitors. "Body, Mind and Child" is hosted by Rae Pica, a 30-year veteran in the field of early childhood education, and offers insightful discussions with the nation's leading child development experts on the issues parent and teachers care about most. Recent sites joining the network include Munchkin Field, Parenting Resources, Parenting Bookmark, Fabulously 40, Yeah Yeah Out Loud and Play-Activities.

"We're delighted to see that the program's appeal is so broad-based. Our aim is to reach parents and educators wherever they are, so we welcome this sector of the online early childhood community," said Rae Pica.

Anne Leedom, president and founder of Parenting Bookmark, states, "We are so pleased and excited to introduce Rae Pica's podcast, 'Body, Mind and Child.' The information is timely and extremely relevant to the needs of today's children. Parents and educators will find a wealth of information about raising healthy, active kids in a format that is entertaining and innovative."

Melitsa Avila of Play-Activities adds, "Play-Activities is excited to offer the BAM radio show. A perfect way to keep abreast of current thinking, research, books and information about our kids."

Says Jamie Burchfield of Munchkin Field, "I enjoy listening to Rae Pica's interviews. Her sources are reliable, and she knows the right questions to ask. As a professional, I know I can rely on her information to be what parents need to hear with only one agenda: happy, healthy children. As a mom, I am reminded of why I became a mother: to love and nurture. Rae's message inspires me to do better or gives me a pat on the back for what I'm doing right."

About BAM Radio Network

The BAM Radio Network was launched to address the severe imbalance in parenting practices caused by the "commercialization of parenting" and the emphasis on intellectual development that excludes the critical role of the mind/body connection in early childhood. Created by leading early childhood experts, the programming challenges the popular genre of parenting notions that has given rise to commercial products like Baby Einstein, Brainy Baby and lapware, all of which claim to accelerate a child's mental development in the face of science that suggests otherwise. The network is a joint venture between New Hampshire-based Moving & Learning and Los Angeles-based Jackstreet Media Ventures LLC. The program is distributed through the Affiliate Nanocasting Network.
