CyberCity 3D (http://www.cybercity3d.com) today announced that the 3D City Model of Marina del Rey, California is now available for viewing on Google Earth.
Original Buildings Modeled for Google Earth
CyberCity 3D's use of Google Earth merges CyberCity's cutting edge 3D buildings and city models with Google Earth's ground-breaking ability to put the world's geographic information at your fingertips.
The Marina del Rey 3D city model, created with CyberCity's proprietary software, includes 1500 commercial and residential buildings covering an area of 5.02 km2. All buildings, which are non-textured, include roof detail and sub-structures.
Marina del Rey is an unincorporated, seaside area in Los Angeles County. Close to Los Angeles International Airport and Venice Beach, Marina del Rey provides the perfect mix of big city sophistication and vacation destination serenity. Its Fisherman's Village offers a view of one of the largest man-made small boat harbors in the U.S., with 19 marinas containing 5,300 slips.
CyberCity 3D builds interactive, geo-referenced, high-resolution, computer based 3D city and terrain models for visualization, web content, navigation and simulation.
CyberCity 3D's models are used to develop and interact with three dimensional spaces and structures through visual exploration for the purposes of planning and business development. Our target markets include travel, real estate, security, navigation, simulation, engineering, city planning, architecture, GIS, and entertainment.
CyberCity 3D is preparing to launch several more 3D city models with Google Earth in the coming months.
"We plan to be very active in the deployment of quality, publishable content via Google Earth," stated Kevin DeVito, CEO of CyberCity 3D. "We have a city model library totaling over 700,000 high quality, textured buildings, with several more cities under construction. We are actively seeking partners to market real estate and travel related web services associated with our 3D City Models. "
