Andrew Borrok, a successful real estate entrepreneur, is making Mother's Day a little brighter for those in need through a generous donation to Citymeals on Wheels.

Thanks to a charitable gift from Andrew Borrok, Citymeals on Wheels is offering exclusive e-cards that allow people to donate to the organization in their mother's honor. Citymeals on Wheels provides food and company for elderly New Yorkers who would otherwise be hungry and alone, 70 percent of whom are female. Borrok made this donation in memory of his own mother, Cathy Singer Borrok.

Citymeals on Wheels is offering their Mother's Day e-cards, which allow donors to send meals to elderly New Yorkers in their mother's honor or memory, thanks to the endowment from Andrew Borrok. When donors send a Mother's Day e-card through Citymeals on Wheels, 100 percent of their contribution will go to the preparation and delivery of weekend and holiday meals. Many elderly women who would otherwise be alone on Mother's Day will now have a warm meal and someone to talk to.

Andrew Borrok has been very active with the Meals on Wheels program in the past, and thanks to the recent sale of 14 Penn Plaza for a significant profit as well as his other successful real estate deals, he is in the position to be generous. Charitable works such as this recent gift to Citymeals on Wheels are also an ongoing part of Borrok's life.

Citymeals is giving special thanks to Andrew Borrok, whose donation in loving memory of Cathy Singer Borrok made their e-cards possible. For more information, visit https://www.citymeals.org/support/ecards and http://www.citymeals.org/about/board
