Andy Mathis Art Co. Returns to Surtex with Fine Art Images for Product Design

Andy returns to Surtex with paintings, polaroid transfers, and product designs for licensing by product manufacturers. He also represents the paintings of Maryland artist, Sharon Himes, who is known for her botanical watercolors featuring the floral and fauna of the Eastern Shore. Surtex is held in NYC at the Javits Center, May 18-20th, 2008.

Elberton, GA (PRWEB) May 12, 2008 -- Andy Mathis Art Co. returns to the Surtex show with new paintings and polaroid transfers. Andy is known for his contemporary watercolors on yupo featuring a variety of subjects. Most noted for the floral and pet images. The images have been worked into unique product designs for tabletop, housewares, textile, paper goods, and stationery items.

"It's been quite fun working with these images creating designs for tabletop items, woven tote bags, and stationery designs. As much as I enjoy painting, it is equally enjoyable seeing the artwork turned into functional products that people can use," says Andy. "I even sold some of my samples while out shooting photos for product samples." The lady who purchased the items said, "I love artwork, but I don't have a lot of wall space to display things. Now, I can carry the artwork with me" (referring to her woven tote bag).

A cat painting appeared on the April 15th issue cover of JAVMA -- the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Mathis is also a signature member of the Georgia Watercolor Society.

Surtex (http://www.surtex.com) is held at the Javits Center in New York City, May 18-20, 2008 in conjunction with the National Stationery Show, and the International Contemporary Furniture Fair.

AMAC also represents Maryland artist, Sharon Himes, known for her woodland watercolors featuring the flora and fauna of the eastern shore.

His booth is located at number #811, top floor in the River Pavilion Area.
