Senator Mikulski and Bill Nye "The Science Guy" to be Honored at Galaxy Ball

Space industry leaders gather to support science education

United States of America (PRWEB) May 10, 2008 -- Leaders in the Space Community will gather for the Galaxy Ball at the Westin Hotel, Alexandria, VA, on Saturday, June 7, 2008. This year the Federation of Galaxy Explorers will present awards to recognize space community leaders and the many devoted volunteers who have made Galaxy Explorers' educational programs a success.

The Federation of Galaxy Explorers Space Leadership Award will be presented to Senator Barbara A. Mikulski. The Space Education Inspiration Award will be presented to Mr. Bill Nye "The Science Guy". The awards recognize outstanding work done to advance the cause of space exploration and science education. Over 300 people are expected to attend this black tie affair. The event runs from 6:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
