Under the terms of the agreement, Keppel has expanded the usage of ShipServ TradeNet, the world's most popular maritime e-commerce platform, to its Keppel Shipyard Benoi and Gul yards, adding to the existing agreement at its Tuas yard.

With experience that dates back more than a century, Keppel Shipyard has become a leading ship repair and conversion yard in the world, having proven its reliability and commitment to excellence time and again. Its capabilities cover an entire spectrum of repair, upgrading and conversion of a wide range of vessels.

"Our investment in ShipServ shows Keppel's commitment to technology and innovation," commented Nelson Yeo, Executive Director, Keppel Shipyard. "We are pleased with how ShipServ has enhanced our procurement process to communicate more efficiently and cost effectively with our suppliers."
Commented Charles Ong, Purchasing Manager, Keppel Shipyard, "We are also very impressed with the speed ShipServ has been able to get us up and running."

Keppel is using ShipServ's electronic ship supplies management (eSSM) solution including integration with their existing in-house financial systems, eliminating the many manual processes currently involved in purchase order management.

"We're extremely delighted to further strengthen our relationship with Keppel," said Paul Ostergaard, Founder & CEO, ShipServ. "Shipyards are a relatively new segment for ShipServ, and Keppel is definitely leading the way in which shipyards can use ShipServ to improve their procurement management. "

To date Keppel has already connected more than 450 suppliers via TradeNet and the next phase of the project will include integration with their JD Edwards finance system.
