Free Online Christian Conference Brings God's Word "Home"

The Hem of His Garment Bible Study Online Ministry hosts its first ever free Christian conference. What's so unique about this event? People from across the globe can join in for free without ever leaving home.

Cincinnati, Ohio (PRWEB) May 11, 2008 -- "Reaching for the Hem" is a new Christian conference expected to draw hundreds if not thousands of attendees June 2nd-5th 2008 for two simple reasons: It's free and it's online. "Many people don't have the finances right now to travel to a traditional out-of-town conference," explains Ameerah Lewis of www.hem-of-his-garment-bible-study.org, "so I felt it was time to bring the conference to them."

To decide what to include in the conference, Ameerah simply asked her visitors what areas they personally needed help in. Within minutes, her email was literally flooded with responses.

"I was so touched by the deep need in the online Christian community for an event that just meets people where they are, not just physically, but spiritually." She paused before adding, "I truly didn't know how much people needed this conference until the emails started rolling in."

Based on popular demand, this year's "Reaching for the Hem" conference will focus on how Christians can develop a closer relationship with God. The event will include a 2 part interactive workshop that teaches Christians how to "Get Real with God," and a 7 part seminar series on developing a closer walk with Jesus Christ.

The Christian Seminar series will be taught by expert guest speakers from other online ministries across the United States. Topics include, "Going deeper in God: A Matter of Chance or a Matter of Choice," "Come Holy Spirit: How to Connect with God through His Spirit," and "Christian Meditation: Your Key to Unlocking True Intimacy with God," just to name a few.

The event will conclude with a live teleconference on Thursday June 5th where attendees can ask questions about how they can personally connect with God in a deeper way.

In the two weeks since registration officially opened, well over 100 people have already signed up to participate in the unique event. But registration isn't closed yet, and Ameerah says it probably never will.
