API, Inc. and Northern Apex Corporation Chosen to Manufacture Data Destruction Devices

Proton Data Security's electronic data destruction products for hard drives, tape, disc magnetic media and CD/DVD optical media will soon include integration of RFID technology.

Fort Wayne, Indiana (PRWEB) May 11, 2008 -- Proton Data Security, Inc. has chosen API, Inc. and Northern Apex Corporation for the manufacturing of their Data Destruction Devices.

Proton Data Security is a Florida-based business with international ties throughout Europe. They offer compliance consulting, R&D, new product and service innovation. In addition to data security consulting , Proton's current line includes, secure data destruction magnetic and optical media products (for hard drives, tape, disc magnetic media and CD/DVD optical media) through an exclusive license with Proton Engineering, Inc. Proton Engineering has been in the data destruction business since 1987 and has worked closely with the NSA in developing products. Five existing products are on the NSA and DoD approved list. "API Alliance has a nice blend of mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge and a highly skilled electro-mechanical assembly team, which made them the right choice for our manufacturing needs," said Dr. Ali Ebadian, CTO for Proton Data Security, Inc.

Mike Gigli, General Manager or API Alliance, Inc., stated, "API is excited to add Proton to our existing customer base. The ability to produce products that help secure personal identity and data integrity utilizing cutting edge technology, combined with the electro-mechanical assembly makes this a perfect fit." Gigli continued, "Because of this partnership, API will be looking at adding several positions to our team as the contract ramps up over the next several months."

API and Northern Apex formerly operated as one entity, but in January of this year, they diversified into 2 distinct corporations. This expansion has allowed both corporations to focus on their core competencies; API focuses on Electro-Mechanical design and assembly and Northern Apex focuses on RFID design and integration services. John Lobo, CEO of Proton Data Security, Inc., said, "We are committed to manufacturing all our products in the US and with our vision for future product development including the integration of RFID technology, the API - Northern Apex family of corporations was right choice for both our current production and future product development needs."
