Concordia Launches First Small Footprint Integrated, Quick-Service Beverage System
New System Produces 164 Specialty Drinks from Fresh Ingredients
Chicago, (PRWEB) May 12, 2008 -- Concordia Coffee Systems, the worldwide leader in quick-serve Espresso systems, announced today the Integrated Beverage System 4 (IBS4), a 19 inch wide unit that can deliver 164 different hot and cold specialty drinks at the touch of a button.
On exhibit at the National Restaurant Association trade show in Chicago (booth 9432, North Hall level 1), the company's newest, countertop system replaces multiple machines and requires no special operator training.
The small-footprint IBS4 system is designed for quick service restaurants, convenience stores, and other barista-free environments. The system features the proprietary; patent pending EspressJet™ Flavor System that infuses multiple flavor options into beverages during milk preparation.
“Consumers are telling us that they want higher quality, consistently crafted beverages, available in more places – served more quickly,” said company president David Isett. “As a result, QSR’s and other non-traditional outlets are now looking to implement higher margin beverage programs to increase revenue, draw new customers to their restaurants, and increase overall profitability.
"Over seventy percent of coffee drinkers who purchase beverages at cafes are opting for flavored drinks. Concordia's IBS4 is the only system of its kind that accommodates evolving consumer tastes and diverse beverage delivery options at the touch of a button. It is the perfect solution for new entrants, and others seeking to satisfy customer demand."
The IBS4 features two fresh espresso bean choices stored in a low profile, high-capacity hopper; and a solid-state, on-board refrigerator that holds standard one-gallon containers of fresh milk. The system uses four Torani™ syrups and sauces that are infused into the beverage during the milk preparation process. An onboard computer manages portion control, the precision brewing process, and provides an automated cleaning system to deliver consistent product and complete process control. Concordia also offers Insight, a feature that provides monitoring capability for a network of Integrated Beverage Systems. Insight provides information on current machine status, alarms, beverage statistics, and other up-to-date information that facilitates beverage program management.
Designed for a wide variety of retail, quick service restaurants, c-store, corporate hospitality, and restaurant environments, the Concordia IBS4 occupies only 19 inches of counter space. Syrup boxes fit neatly beneath the counter.
Once the beverage type is selected, the machine automatically grinds fresh whole espresso beans and steams and froths the milk for “…a perfect drink every time.” Concordia’s reliable machines are noted for stringent quality control standards that meet the safety and health requirements of international regulatory agencies.
A leading manufacturer of automated beverage systems, Concordia Coffee Systems is a U.S. corporation headquartered in Bellevue, WA. Concordia broke new ground in 1990 by incorporating milk-steaming with bean grinding and brewing in a single machine. Active in worldwide markets, the company has thousands of customers pouring millions of drinks, on a daily basis.
