St. Petersburg FL Men's Fitness Boot Camp Member Survives 3 Heart Surgeries

For the participants of Elliott Hulse's 5-days-per-week Men's Fitness Boot Camp in St. Petersburg FL, flipping 600 lb. tires, pushing trucks, dragging heavy sleds and bench pressing over 200 lbs. -- is all in a days work. Most men join because they want to look better in their Armani suits or in their bathing trunks, but for one camper this type of training meant the difference between life and death.

St. Petersburg, FL (PRWEB) May 14, 2008 -- For the participants of Elliott Hulse's Men's Fitness Boot Camp in St. Petersburg, FL, flipping 600 lbs. tires, pushing trucks, dragging heavy sleds and bench pressing over 100 lbs. -- is all in a days work. Most men join because they want to look better in their Armani suits or in their bathing trunks, but for one camper, this type of training meant the difference between life and death.

Treasure Island Fireman Terry Moulton makes sure he is in attendance at the 6 a.m. camp every weekday morning. "After my heart attack and 3 surgeries, I don't mess around with my health. I've got to be there, I have no other choice!" says Mr. Moulton. Terry is among 10-15 regular participants at this Strength Camp. "On Monday's and Wednesday's we lift weights, on Tuesday's and Thursday's we do cardio conditioning and on Friday's we train like professional Strongmen with tires, kegs and sandbags. My health has improved drastically since training like this and it's a lot of fun too!"

This unique St. Petersburg, FL Men's Fitness Boot Camp that is attended by men of all ages and fitness levels begins June 2nd, 2008. Campers have an option of 6 a.m. or 6 p.m. attendance. Most guys join for improved fitness and fun, but Mr. Moulton joined to save his life.

Six years ago Terry's life consisted of intensive TV watching and massive plates of Polish sausage for dinner. One morning he awoke for a 5 a.m. fire call only to find that he needed an ambulance! "I couldn't stand up and his vision went blurry. I've saved the lives of hundreds of people who spoke of the same symptoms, I never thought that I would be the one having a heart attack."

Terry's certified personal trainer and owner of Strength Camp Elliott Hulse is amazed at how strong and fit Terry has become over the last few months. "Terry is one of the older guys in the camp and he can out-train the men in their 30's any day," says Hulse. On one occasion Terry and another camper had a contest to see who could dead lift the most weight and Terry took the prize by lifting 315 lbs. off the floor. "For a guy who had 3 heart surgeries, I'd say that's pretty impressive." says his trainer.

According to Mr. Moulton's doctor, joining the men's fitness boot camp was the best thing that Terry could have done for his health. "If I would have known how much fun it would be to get into shape, I would have been training at Elliott's fitness boot camp 6 years ago."
