CompTIA Announces Winners of Second Annual SoftwareCEO Software Innovation Awards

Companies honored at Software Marketing Perspectives Conference & Expo.
That’s testament to the creativity and vibrancy of the software market, which continues to produce products and services that deliver real business value to customers. The companies honored with SoftwareCEO Software Innovation Awards are at the forefront of innovation. On behalf of the worldwide membership of CompTIA and SoftwareCEO, I am pleased to recognize their achievements.

Oakbrook Terrace, IL (Vocus/PRWEB ) May 12, 2008 -- Thirteen companies responsible for technological and business model breakthroughs in the highly competitive software market have been recognized by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) with SoftwareCEO Software Innovation Awards for 2008.

The second annual awards were presented earlier this month at the CompTIA Software Marketing Perspectives Conference & Expo in Santa Clara, Calif.

“This year’s competition featured more than 90 entries, a record number,” said David Sommer, chief operating officer, CompTIA, and publisher of SoftwareCEO. “That’s testament to the creativity and vibrancy of the software market, which continues to produce products and services that deliver real business value to customers. The companies honored with SoftwareCEO Software Innovation Awards are at the forefront of innovation. On behalf of the worldwide membership of CompTIA and SoftwareCEO, I am pleased to recognize their achievements.”

Visible World of New York, N.Y., won the award for Company Achievement in Innovation for IntelliSpot®, an advanced video advertising technology platform that automatically edits and swaps content on-the-fly, permitting advertisers to present the right message to the right viewer at the right time.

Three companies received awards for Most Innovative Enterprise Software.

Knoa Software of New York, N.Y., won for its Knoa Experience & Performance Manager, an end user experience management solution that serves as a “single source” for end user and application performance metrics.

SAVO Group of Chicago was recognized for its sales enablement solutions, which maximize a sales organization's ability to communicate value and differentiation in clear, consistent, and compelling ways.

Splunk, Inc., headquartered in San Francisco, won the award for its large scale, high-speed indexing and search technology for IT infrastructures.

Two companies won SoftwareCEO Software Innovation Awards in the Most Innovative General Business Software category.

Rapid Intake, based in Lehi, Utah, was recognized for its Unison e-Learning product, a web-based solution that allows whole teams to collaboratively capture, storyboard, develop, review, test, and publish Flash-based courses without having to know Flash.

SmartDraw of San Diego won for SmartDraw 2008, a program that automates the creation of business graphics such as flow charts, mind maps, floor plans, project charts, organizational charts, and more.

Awards for Most Innovative Service or Business Model went to two companies.

SAVO Group of Chicago was recognized for its sales enablement solutions.

Unisfair of Menlo Park, Calif., won for its Unisfair Virtual Events product, used by marketing departments for demand generation, partner showcases, user groups, product launches, road shows and other events; and by human resource departments for virtual job fairs.

The award for Most Innovative Small and Medium-Sized Infrastructure Software was presented to InnoSource Business Solutions of Roswell, Ga., for Docufree, a leading software-as-a-service document and business process management solution.

Two companies won awards for the Most Innovative Software for the Software Industry.

Aladdin Knowledge Systems, Inc., Tel Aviv, Israel, won the award for its HASP family of products, which address software piracy by providing software publishers with strong copy protection, intellectual property protection and secure licensing.

OpSource™ of Santa Clara, Calif., won for OpSource Connect™, which allows software-as-a-service and Web companies to consume and publish multiple Web services across a common, secure platform.

The award Most Innovative Software Idea went to Green Print Technologies, LLC of Portland, Ore., maker of software designed to reduce waste in home and office printing.

Two companies won awards for Most Innovative Vertical Industry Software.

Exaktime, Inc. of Calabasas, Calif., won for its PocketClock/GPS product, a portable, easy-to-use time and attendance tracking system that uses modern global positioning systems technology to automatically record the exact location of workers when they clock in and out.

Gemcom Software International, Inc. of Vancouver, Canada, was honored for Gemcom InSite™, mine performance management software that includes analytics, reporting, reconciliation, stockpile management, and other features.
