Turismo de Portugal is organising this conference to discuss golf course management, as well as the design and promotion of a golf destination. It will include Portuguese and international case studies. It will also feature a golf clinic and golf tournament. The conference is aimed at business leaders, investors, managers and other players in the golf industry, together with public.

Golf is a year 'round sport in Portugal, making the country a gathering place for golf aficionados and some of Europe's most interesting courses. Many of the courses in Portugal were designed by the best golf architects to take advantage of breath-taking views as well as to fit within natural surroundings. They come in a variety of difficulty levels. And, Portugal's mild climate makes golf enjoyable 12 months of the year.

Portugal's National Strategic Plan for Tourism has defined golf as one of the key products that underpin the nation's economic growth.
