Popular podcast continues to lead the online yoga revolution.

The free podcast "20 Minute Yoga Sessions" from, an online virtual yoga studio, has surpassed one million downloads. In April 2007 began offering 20-30 minute podcast classes in a wide variety of yoga styles, each with a printable pose guide. These podcast classes can easily be downloaded as either an audio only class or audio with a yoga pose slideshow.

"I began the podcast not only as a way for people to sample the longer versions of classes, but also as a way to bring quick, free classes to everyone," owner Jamie Kent explains. Each episode features various top yoga instructors from who use their experience in an assortment of yoga styles to present in-depth yet concise classes. To assist with proper yoga form, there is the option of downloading and printing a companion pose guide, or choosing the pose slide show version. The slide show versions of each episode display the pose images in various media players or video capable iPods.

The response to 20 Minute Yoga Sessions has catapulted it to a #1 rank amongst all Fitness and Nutrition podcasts on iTunes. In the sizeable iTunes Health podcast category, it has risen to a rank of # 6, and maintains a 5 out of 5 star rating. While its popularity on iTunes continues to grow, it is also ranked #41 for number of subscribers out of over 200,000 podcasts listed by (a leading directory for blogs and podcasts that was recently purchased by Google).
