The challenge is harnessing the power of the Internet and its tools to make available content that connects like minds," explains Novick. "Wildfeed examines popular culture in the digital age. It discovers what artists, writers, photographers, performers, journalists, musicians, and others are doing with social, technical and creative tools, and encourages them to share with others who have similar interests and appetites."
"Wildfeed.com also creates a social and editorial community of college students and young professionals and gives that community a voice," says Walter. "Members can submit content, review content submitted by others, and vote their preferences. Wildfeed encourages them to interact in forums, send private messages, post classified ads searching for collaborators and meet other members who are geographically accessible. Members can populate their profiles with links to their work on other sites and expose their work to the community."
Anyone is welcome to register and enjoy a free subscription to Wildfeed. Participation in the editorial process is not required, but members who submit stories or invite friends have access to more features on the site and have more influence over which stories are published.
