GiraMondo Wine Ventures, a wine business consulting and education firm, is conducting an Austrian Wine Class for Wine Educators on Monday 19, 2008. This seminar will take place at the Embassy of Austria in Washington DC from 11:00am to 2:00 pm.

This small size wine class and tasting lunch is designed for sommeliers, wine educators, wine directors, wine captains, etc. It will cover all the main wine regions of Austria with in depth information that can be used and re-used for your future classes, tastings and events.

This class will feature 12 different wines along a full tasting lunch where each wine will be paired with food. The wine selection will include Riesling, Gruner Veltiner, Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, St Laurent, different blends and dessert wines. In addition, the role of biodynamics and modern architecture in the Austrian wine industry will also be discussed.

Presenters include:

  • Laurent Guinand of GiraMondo Wine Ventures
  • Nella Hengstler of the Austrian Embassy Commercial Services.
