Houston Wine Cellar Designer Won the National Award in the 2006 / 07 Sub-Zero And Wolf Kitchen Design Competition

Addison, Texas (PRWEB) May 14, 2008 -- Vineyard Wine Cellars is very proud to announce that Jost Lunstroth is a National Award Winner in the 2006 / 07 Sub-Zero and Wolf Kitchen Design Competition. Lunstroth won the National Award for Best Use of Wine Storage in a Unique Location. His design was one of one hundred national and international entries and was the best in the category.

The biannual competition is a nod to innovative use of space, design excellence, and integration of Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances. Entries reflected current market trends -- including smaller, high-quality kitchens; diverse materials and textures; repurposing of vintage or used items; and sustainable design. The first competition took place in 1993. The award was presented March 29th at a gala celebration held at The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona. Lunstroth's winning entry was a project in a home on Lake Travis, outside of Austin, Texas. The design used four Sub Zero wine refrigerators trimmed in mahogany and matching custom mahogany wine racks of various styles and types of storage featuring diamond cubes, individual bottles and decorative arches. The wine refrigerators and racking were built into three niches in a long gallery.
