The report looks at what people experienced over the last month as they attempted to find a deposit account that meets their needs and apply for it on leading national, regional and community bank sites.

Data highlights from the research include the following.
-- 33% of sites fail to answer at least one question that users have.
-- All sites lack at least some content that some users consider persuasive.
-- 61% of sites pose navigation challenges for some users.
-- Half of the sites have page layout problems that make information hard to find for a significant number of users.
-- The shortest online account opening application is nearly one times shorter than the average.
-- Only one community bank surveyed currently supports online account opening, yet its account opening process surpasses Wells Fargo, Regions and US Bank for ease of use, informativeness and persuasiveness.
