EverybodyGreen.com Teams up with Earth Day New York to Honor Earth Day 2008
Everybodygreen.com teamed up with Earth Day New York to honor the 38th annual celebration of Earth Day at Earth Fair 2008 outside of New York's historic Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. The two-day festival included eco-friendly exhibitions by more than 50 environmental companies, non-profit organizations, and Earth Day New York sponsors, entertaining and raising eco-awareness among people of all ages.
New York, New York (PRWEB) May 14, 2008 -- On April 18-19, 2008, more than 50,000 New Yorkers attended Earth Day New York's 9th annual Earth Fair on Vanderbilt Ave in Manhattan. The crowds enjoyed live performances by a selection of local bands including, Honey Larochelle and The Real Live Show. Visitors took the opportunity to sample products and shop with eco-friendly exhibitors as well as take part in hands-on activities for children, signing petitions, and learning about environmentalism in New York and beyond.
Everybodygreen.com joined Earth Day New York in an effort to raise awareness of environmentally friendly and sustainable alternatives available to modern consumers. The organization donated 20,000 eco-friendly "No Plastic" bracelets for distribution to the attendees, aiming to give people a reminder to think green and do their part to preserve and cherish the natural world. "We think of every day as Earth Day, so for this celebration, we wanted to do something extra special", comments Keith Berman, Director of Sales at Everybodygreen.com, "We wanted to reach as many people as we could and Earth Day New York has made this possible by helping us distribute $200,000 worth of eco-friendly accessories to the general public. People love festivals and freebies while we love to educate and promote positive change, so we decided to combine all of the above to create a successful strategy in growing awareness among New York's population."
