Best of the Web Names Rob Schmid Controller

Company names dedicated employee to top operational spot.

Uniondale, NY (PRWEB) May 19, 2008 -- Best of the Web is pleased to announce that Robert Schmid has been appointed to the position of Controller. Schmid will be responsible for overseeing project management of existing and future projects, overseeing customer care, handling office operational tasks, conference planning, strategic planning, research and development, and managing administrative level employees.

"Rob has been with us from the very beginning, so we're really delighted to have things turn out this way," said Greg Hartnett, BOTW President. "He's a super sharp guy, with a knack for looking at things in an unconventional way. Rob's personality and the work ethic he has always exhibited make him a great fit for this role," adds Hartnett.

"I am particularly thankful that Rob has agreed to accept this new responsibility" said Brian Prince, CEO. "Best of the Web continues to stay focused on growth, and this move should really enable us to keep our eyes on the prize. No one understands the complexities of our business better than Rob, and I'm confident that he will continue to exceed our expectations, execute on our strategic initiatives, and ultimately help us to exceed our business goals."

Mr. Schmid takes the reigns as BOTW Controller after an extensive history of working with Prince and Hartnett. Originally hired as a junior developer on other projects, Schmid's dedication and grasp of the big picture put him on a quick track to management. Within a short time of his start with the company, Schmid lead a team of developers and eventually became tasked with oversight on all web development projects. Rob was instrumental in the launch of the BOTW Blog Directory, Enterprise Software directory and Senior Housing directory, and has also proved pivotal in the transformation of the BOTW web directory. His continued efforts contribute in great part to the present and future success of the company.

"It's certainly an honor", said Mr. Schmid. "I'm eager to take charge of operations and help Best of the Web continue it's impressive growth."

"2008 is shaping up to be a very exciting year for Best of the Web" said Prince. "We're really beefing up our assets, adding new offerings and improving the user experience. We're excited about the way the year has started, and we look forward to finishing even stronger."
