StateCE, a leading provider of online continuing education services nationwide, announced today an expansion of its management team. The company, based in Allen, Texas, has added Thomas M. Sparacio as chief operations officer, and Kathleen Mitchell as director of sales.

Sparacio joined StateCE in January 2008. He combines his experience in telecommunications, business information, call center management and direct sales to lead StateCE's operational needs. He is responsible for overall day-to-day operations, and implementing strategies, processes and technologies that improve productivity and efficiency. Prior to StateCE, Sparacio directed national call centers for Dun and Bradstreet Inc., Synchronoss Technologies Inc. and Aetna Inc. He also served with OptionTel LLC, a Dallas telecom brokering and consulting firm for residential and business services, in addition to working with National Relief Charities, a national non-profit organization. Sparacio earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from State University College in Brockport, N.Y. Sparacio is a resident of McKinney, Texas.
Mitchell joined StateCE in April 2008. As director of sales, Mitchell oversees existing direct sales while expanding other channels. She heads a team that recruits, retains and serves Independent Sales Representatives that resell StateCE's online educational services. Prior to StateCE, Mitchell served in sales and marketing roles in the non-profit and hospitality markets, including roles with Allen Family of Faith, Mitchell Consulting in Calif., and Sunburst Hospitality based in Silver Spring, Md. She is a resident of Allen, Texas.
