In addition to helping pioneer the boot camp exercise model in the San Francisco Bay Area, AlaVie Fitness (formerly Bay Area Boot Camp), has expanded its vision and service offerings.
The company continues to lead cutting-edge boot camp classes throughout the Bay Area under the PowerVie Boot Camp name. At the same time, AlaVie is spearheading additional fitness training and wellness programs to help people bring their bodies into balance -– and to enjoy themselves in the process:
5K/10K Training – AlaVie’s 5K/10K training programs start June 4, 2008 and are designed to prepare trainees for series of Bay Area races.
Body Therapy – Besides offering premier massage and physical therapy services at its Campbell Wellness Center, AlaVie has also developed partnerships with massage therapists, chiropractors, and yoga practitioners as it expands its network of Bay Area body therapists.
Nutrition – AlaVie currently offers guidance from in-house experts and community partners, recipes, and products from its official nutrition partner. The company is also developing nutrition workshops, seminars, and customized plans for weight loss, body shaping, and event training.
Fitness & Wellness Education -- The soon to be launched AlaVie Fitness Forum - along with the AlaVie blog, AlaVie seminars and workshops, and AlaVie weekend retreats - will connect clients with others who share their commitment to living in balance.
Fitness Events –- One week and weekend workouts, fitness days in the park, and healthy happy hours are just some examples of AlaVie events that inspire people to take their fitness to the next level.
Fitness Retreats -– Launching in August, 2008, AlaVie Fitness 1-day retreats will focus, energize and refresh participants while giving them the resources they need to incorporate fitness and nutrition into their daily routines.
AlaVie Community Partners -- From sporting goods and active groups to nutrition and health education experts, AlaVie partners align clients with the tools they need to live well.
According to AlaVie co-founder and CEO Heather Glenn, AlaVie keeps enlarging the scope of its fitness and wellness services: “We want to be a one stop shop for anyone who wants to live happier and healthier. AlaVie is still all about taking people through an amazing workout. But we’re also giving people ways to take great care of themselves beyond their workouts.”
