Secure Symbology, a leading provider of serialization and anti-counterfeiting solutions, announced that Systech's former serialization and RFID expert, Mr. Andre Schultz, has joined the company.

"Having a person of Andre's caliber join the company is truly exciting!" said Richard Smith, the company's Director of Engineering and Systems Manufacturing. "Given the fact that our patented equipment and processes provide pharmaceutical manufacturers the benefits of serialized bar codes at the each level and the option of RFID technology at the each, case and pallet levels, where manufacturers are afforded a unique opportunity to use the most efficient tracking technology throughout the supply chain, having Andre here leading our serialization and RFID integration team is of great importance to the company and our customers."

Prior to working for Systech in the serialization and RFID arena, Mr. Schultz spent several years of his career working for SIEMENS Germany as a service engineer for automated production lines in manufacturing. At SIEMENS, Andre worked with RFID in its early stages, before it was even being considered for track and trace. After leaving SIEMENS, Mr. Schultz pursued a career in Germany's transit industry, where he designed and managed automation systems for the train industry. Andre's early background in RFID allowed him to fully understand the fundamentals of this technology. The combination of his RFID and automation expertise proved to be a perfect fit for ePedigree and track and trace technologies, which Systech leveraged. Andre was schooled in Germany where he received a BSEE in Automation and Power Engineering. He later went on to receive a MSEE from the Belford University of Texas. Andre's multi-lingual and educational skills add to Secure Symbology's global presences.

"To compliment our on-going relationship with Alien Technologies, Secure Symbology has brought on another best of breed expert" said Graham Sampson, Secure Symbology's Chairman and CEO. "Having Andre join the company as a key member of our engineering team confirms SSI's continuing commitment to building a best of breed engineering organization that has superior capabilities in support of the global communities drive to achieve complete supply-chain efficiency and accountability via the application of our patented serialization systems and solutions to all manufactured products"
