VISTA named a finalist for Marketing Collateral - VISTA Recruiting Brochure.

The Washington, DC Chapter of the American Marketing Association recognized VISTA Technology Services, Inc. as one of only three finalists for the company's new Recruiting Brochure. VISTA competed for top honors in the category of Printed Marketing Collateral within the Greater Washington Region.

According to Hope A. Effross, 2008 Chair for the M Awards competition, "We received a wide variety of entries this year, representing the multi-faceted marketing industry of the metropolitan Washington area. Determining the finalists was challenging for our judges, who evaluated the entries based on the criteria of insight, objectives, strategy, tactics, and results."

The new VISTA Recruiting Brochure is the centerpiece of the company's expanded efforts to attract and retain the best professional talent across the DC-area. VISTA Human Resources & Corporate Communications Director Stephanie Reichlen commented, "It's not good enough anymore just to explain what a company does. We have to effectively communicate who we are as people and explain why VISTA is a great place to work."

This balance of the "what" and "who" of VISTA is apparent in the brochure where photographs featuring employees outside the work environment are highlighted with their personal reasons for choosing and staying with VISTA. Company values and benefits are also highlighted.

VISTA's brochure clearly demonstrates the company's focus on quality of life for its employees. "We produce collateral all the time, but this was a particularly complex and special effort" said Kimberly Price, VISTA Marketing Manager. "From the start, we knew we were charting a new course for how our human resources department communicates. The brochure design and production effort involved new branding and messaging, custom art work, and commissioned photography that were created through intense company-wide collaboration. But more important, this project was conceived and conducted to support a business approach for human resources as part of a complete marketing campaign with many still unfolding aspects. Our strategy and innovation is now actively deployed on our Careers landing page, in our company Intranet and is being aggressively woven though all other company marketing and messaging activities.

VISTA continues to invest heavily in the quality of life of its employees. In the past year, the company established an Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) so all employees can share in VISTA's continuing growth, introduced community participation initiatives as a USO corporate sponsor and spearheaded green and sustainable energy use initiatives company-wide with programs that employees can continue at home.

When asked about all of the social programs at VISTA, President & CEO David Baxa was quick to respond, "We do good work for our clients but that's not enough. We need to be socially responsible citizens. As a team, we have the synergy to achieve great things. We are all working toward the same goal."
