Sherpa!'s efforts helped surge search engine driven web traffic 450% during the 12 month period starting December 2006, increasing the firm's online sales.

The search engine marketing campaign included both search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and PR event-based pay-per-click (PPC). Sherpa! targeted niche key-phrases such as "body shapers" and "footless hosiery". In the end, the cost of organic search engine driven traffic was reduced to less than 1 cent/visitor.

"We are honored that our search engine marketing work received such a prestigious award," states David Felfoldi, Chief Experience Officer at Sherpa! Web Studios. "We were joined by some of the best online marketing talent in not only Atlanta, but also the nation."

The 2008 AiMA Awards are Atlanta's first awards program dedicated exclusively to interactive marketing. Eight of Atlanta's most talented interactive marketing organizations were recognized by their peers at a ceremony held Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the new W Hotel in Midtown. The sold-out event, hosted by Veronica De La Cruz, Internet correspondent for CNN's flagship morning news program, American Morning, honored campaigns from Definition6, Avenue A | Razorfish, Sherpa! Web Studios, IQ Interactive, ePrize, BrandMovers, LBi, and Engauge Digital.

"This year's AiMA Awards recipients are testaments to the breadth and scope of campaign work -- local, national and global -- being done every day by Atlanta-based interactive marketing firms," said AiMA President Laura Spaugh. "We're thrilled at the success of our 2008 awards event and look forward to growing AiMA Awards into a premier interactive industry award program in the coming years."
