"The kids were playing on them as fast as we could put them in place. They were playing on them before we could paint on the lines."

Connor Sport Court International (CSCI) announced that within the next week it will complete construction of 37 of its Sport Court® game courts in this city in south-central Romania.

Ron Cerny, president and CEO of CSCI, said the game courts, consisting of Sport Court's Power Game™ flooring and accessories, were shipped from the Sport Court plant in Salt Lake City two months ago in eight containers. Now the winter has receded in Romania, the local construction team is installing 37 courts and 90 basketball hoops at 30 sites around the city.

All 37 courts will be in place by May 25.

Andrew Gettig, vice president of international sales for Connor Sport Court, and Ryan Burke, manager of international sales for the Salt Lake-based company, worked with local counterparts to finalize the sale.

"We partnered with Vlad Constantinescu and Radu Petre, lead partners of Sport Arena SRL, to make the deal happen," said Burke.

"Within minutes of the game courts being put in place there were kids roller blading and playing on them. We hadn't even painted the lines on yet," said Gettig.

"It's certainly a logistics challenge to package and deliver the surfacing tiles and accessories for this many courts in a distant country, but when you see the end result and the joy it brings to the kids it's all worthwhile" said Gettig.

Bacau is located north of Bucharest. It has a population of approximately 200,000.

More athletic events are played on Connor Sport Court surfaces than on any other sports flooring in the world. Sport Court® is a registered trade mark of Connor Sport Court International. Since 1974, it has identified the original and authentic modular sport surface, continuously improved and patented to provide the highest levels of quality and performance.
