There are so many facets to living green; it starts with conservation, but our users have been clear that in taking care of their homes and their families it is of the utmost importance to use the healthiest available options

"Switch to Compact Fluorescent Bulbs," "Drive an efficient vehicle," "Buy Energy Star!" These are all common calls to consumers in the new greener economy, but how can anyone know which ones to buy? Huddler's Green Home (http://greenhome.huddler.com/) thinks the answer is to turn to your peers and find out what they're actually using. Huddler, an online community dedicated to green products ranging from electric cars to organic toothpaste, is excited to announce their second contest with more than $2,500 worth of "green goodies" at stake as prizes.
GreenHome.Huddler.com features a highly organized database of green products ranging from electric cars to compact fluorescent light bulbs to solar panels and everything in between. The site integrates user-generated product reviews, custom discussion forums, wikis, photo hosting, and much more to spread the word about green products and to provide a place for eco-minded consumers to have meaningful discussions.
Until June 20, 2008, registered users of Huddler's Green Home can compete to win one of ten prize packages in the Green Goodies Contest. To enter, users can contribute two product reviews, one original wiki article, or get five friends to register on the site.
The ten best overall contributions to the community will win prize packages consisting of at least 14 green products such as Dr. Bronner's organic hand soap, Freedom waterless car wash, and Nurture My Body organic lotion. Two grand prize winners will win either a Solio Classic Universal Hybrid Solar Charger or a Soldius 1 Solar Charger in addition to the other prizes.
The contest coincides with the introduction of many features on the site including an innovative Facebook application called Green My Ride (http://apps.facebook.com/greenmyride/), a new interface for users to add products not currently on the site, and the expansion of Huddler's product categories to include organic personal and baby care products, green yard equipment, and more.
"There are so many facets to living green; it starts with conservation, but our users have been clear that in taking care of their homes and their families it is of the utmost importance to use the healthiest available options," says Dan Gill, CEO of Huddler. "Now our users can not only talk about their favorite energy efficient appliances, cars, or residential wind turbines; they can also discuss everything down to their organic toothpaste and compost bins."
