StackSafe Named "Top Tech Startup for 2008" by InfoWorld

IT operations staging and testing vendor is listed as one of 10 hot startups for 2008.

StackSafe Inc., a provider of pre-production staging, testing and analysis solutions for IT Operations teams, today announced that it was named by IDG's InfoWorld as a one of the publication's Top Tech Startups for 2008. StackSafe was recognized for its useful and innovative technology development, StackSafeā„¢ Test Center, a cost-effective solution that helps IT Operations teams understand the impact of proposed changes to their production environments.

StackSafe Test Center, launched at DEMO 2008, is the first virtualized staging and testing solution for IT Operations teams that improves application uptime through enhanced software infrastructure testing. Research performed by StackSafe in conjunction with Research Edge has shown that improved testing maturity can reduce downtime by 30 percent through avoidance of costly application and system failure.

StackSafe has received $7.9 million in Series A financing from Novak Biddle Venture Partners and Chart Venture Partners. The company expects to raise $10 million to $12 million during a Series B round of funding that is anticipated to close this year.
