Maxi-Seal Harness Systems, Inc., a member of the Peterson corporate family, is pleased to announce that Tim Barnett has joined the company as General Manager. The move is designed to strengthen Maxi-Seal's leadership team in expanding the company's share of the custom wiring harness market, while continuing to provide sealed harness systems for Peterson Manufacturing's vehicle lighting solutions.
Barnett will direct all Maxi-Seal operations, with department heads from engineering, production, quality assurance and sales reporting to him.
"Maxi-Seal's primary role is to support Peterson Manufacturing in providing our customers with a single-sourced lighting and harness system," Barnett said. "That means being the best harness supplier we can be for Peterson Manufacturing. But we have extraordinary abilities here to design and build harness systems for a world of applications. I'm talking quality, cost-effective, custom harness solutions you just don't pull off a shelf. And we're aggressively going to pursue other revenue streams for what we do so well."
As part of a corporate family with in-house expertise ranging from cutting-edge engineering and tooling to global product sourcing and trade arrangements, Barnett believes that Maxi-Seal has great potential to grow its business.
"Although I am new here, I've already witnessed the synergy at work across Peterson's corporate campus," said Barnett. "I have also been extremely impressed with this organization's commitment to innovation and efficiency. It seems to be part of our corporate D.N.A. My objective is to utilize these available resources in serving our current customers and winning new ones."
Barnett comes to Maxi-Seal from his role as Vice President/General Manager at J&J Logistics, a freight transportation services company in Overland Park, KS. With a 1995 MBA degree from Rockhurst University, Barnett rose steadily in the J&J ranks by demonstrating expertise in the areas of Sales, Sales Management, Product Management, and Operations Management.
"Tim brings a wealth of talent and experience to Maxi-Seal," said Don Armacost, Jr., Peterson President and CEO. "With his leadership, we're confident of continued growth in this important segment of our business."
In a related move, Maxi-Seal's Terry Forsythe has accepted the position of Sales Engineer reporting to Barnett. In this important role, Forsythe initially will manage customer relationships in the areas of field service and technical support.
"Terry is well respected industry wide for his product knowledge," Armacost said. "He will be key in helping us meet customer expectations with respect to Maxi-Seal products and services."
