Longtime minister lays down biblical facts of female empowerment

A better life for all women of all nations is just within reach. Rita Wiggins, Christian author of You Go Girl: Encouraging Women to Go Farther in Ministry ($9.99, paperback, 978-1-60477-805-2), will show women how to grasp hold of a future where they have the freedom to pursue whatever God has called them to do for His kingdom. This revolutionary guide book quotes many Scriptures that encourage women to be actively involved in God's ministry as pastors, prophets, and healers. This life-enriching work will demonstrate how to live the life of the Word of God in demonstration and power.

Says Wiggins, who has been a minister for 20 years, "I was called to the ministry and have been placed in many circumstances where I had to defend my right and my calling to the ministry. (My) entire book quotes Scriptures that confirms women's roles in all facets of ministry. God expects women to have the freedom to pursue whatever (He) has called them to do for His Kingdom."

Since her call to the ministry, she has received much formal training, and it is this she draws on for evidence of God's blessing and support for women as they go about His work. By highlighting these biblical facts in her book, she hopes to inspire other women to demonstrate leadership at home, in the marketplace, in the pulpit, or wherever God leads them.

A native of Alabama, the author has preached throughout the south and many foreign countries. Operating in the gifts of healing and working miracles, she is founder of "Pastor Rita Healing School." She currently resides in Huntsville with her husband, Buddy. They have two grown daughters, Teresa and Stephanie.
