Bask in the sights, sounds and tastes of summer at the inaugural Hot & Spicy International Festival, a free, block party-style celebration of summer fun and community in Steelton, PA. Keystone Residence, an agency of Keystone Human Services, has partnered with the Steelton Borough to launch this exciting afternoon of live music, regional craft fare and delicious summer treats on Saturday, June 7th on North Front Street in Steelton. From noon until 4:30 p.m., the block will be bustling with family-friendly activities and entertainment to benefit the invaluable work of Keystone Residence.
From outdoor concerts and neighborhood block parties to casual weekend barbecues, the easygoing entertainment of summer's longer days and warmer nights are a welcome respite from your weekdays and workdays - and the Hot & Spicy International Festival is a wonderful way to turn up the heat on your summer festivities! Kicking off at noon, the festival will feature two stages of entertainment courtesy of some of the region's favorite local musicians and performers. Headlining the event will be Green Eggs, whose funky setlist of popular covers has made them one of the area's favorite party bands.
Featuring booths from restaurants, caterers, specialty food merchants and other culinary organizations, as well as offerings from local artisans and original gift vendors, the Hot & Spicy International Festival is also a wonderful opportunity to get to know community craftspeople and culinary connoisseurs. Cultivate your own culinary skills at interactive events like the pizza spinning contest, and vote on your favorite spicy dish in the "People's Choice" salsa competition. The Hot & Spicy International Festival also includes activities for the whole family, including a Children's Corner and Children's Parade.
