Tee Off for Keystone Children and Family Services
The Keystone Golf Tournament is back. For the 26th year, the Keystone Golf Tournament on Monday, June 16th will bring together members and friends of the Keystone Human Services family for a wonderful opportunity to golf for a great cause. Featuring a variety of contests and raffles as well as ample time on the green for even the most avid golfers, the Keystone Golf Tournament will benefit Keystone Children and Family Services, whose programs promote active and meaningful life experiences for all members of the community. A variety of team and sponsorship opportunities are available, with registration closing on June 11th.
Harrisburg, PA (PRWEB) May 24, 2008 -- If your favorite sound of summer is the crisp thwack of an arching drive, then the 26th annual Keystone Golf Tournament will fit you to a tee. On Monday, June 16th, join members and friends of the Keystone Human Services family at Carlisle Country Club for a wonderful opportunity to practice your putt and show off your swing for a great cause. Fellowship, fun and friendly competition are par for the course.
The Keystone Golf Tournament is one of Keystone's most anticipated annual events, featuring a variety of contests, raffles and ample time on the green to appeal to avid golfers, casual fans and everyone in between. The tournament will be played in the scramble format: each team selects the best shot following every stroke, and each team member then plays the next shot from that spot. Tournament registration begins at 11:30 a.m., with a shot gun start at 1:00 p.m. The evening will wind down with dinner and presentation of awards at 6:00 p.m.
For 26 years, the Keystone Golf Tournament has brought together friends of Keystone and members of the community to raise awareness and support for Keystone's services for children and families. Proceeds from the Keystone Golf Tournament benefit the work of Keystone Children & Family Services, whose programs - such as Capital Area Head Start, Susquehanna Service Dogs and the Keystone Center for Children with Autism - promote active and meaningful life experiences for all members of the community.
Along with a series of raffles, an assortment of trick shot [and just plain luck contests will add to the excitement of the tournament proper, with an array of exciting prizes. The Putting Contest, 50/50 Putt and Closest to the Pin competitions all have cash prizes, and winners of the Longest Drive, Straightest Drive and Hole-In-One competitions will receive other thrilling rewards.
Tournament cost for individual golfers is $150, or $160 for the tournament and lunch. Spaces will fill quickly, so be sure to sign up with your favorite golf partners as soon as possible.
