Montclair, NJ (PRWEB) May 27, 2008 -- SpineUniverse.com was recently announced as the winner of a series of honors presented by the American In-House Design Awards, Aster Awards, and Healthcare Advertising Awards. Along with accolades for its branding and homepage, the site was given the Gold Award by the Healthcare Advertising Awards for SpineAdvisor, its bi-weekly eNewsletter for patients.

The award-winning SpineAdvisor provides readers with the latest news on spine-related issues, including condition/treatment education, health & wellness tips, as well as answers to frequently asked questions about back and neck pain.

In March 2007, a new management team overhauled SpineUniverse.com to improve design and functionality while adding innovative education tools for patients and spine professionals. For patients, SpineUniverse introduced condition education centers, including a video library of anatomy and treatment information, as well as a feature called "Ask the Experts", which welcomes questions relating to back pain and spine conditions. Selected questions are answered in the bi-weekly eNewsletter by SpineUniverse's industry leading editorial board. On the spine professional site (www.spineuniverse.com/professional), SpineUniverse introduced an interactive patient case-study library where doctors can submit their own cases for peer review or vote on how they would treat similar cases. The professional site also includes continuing education, industry news & practice marketing tools.

"Over the past year, we've rebuilt the SpineUniverse website and newsletters based on feedback from our consumer and professional community. Our aim is to provide patients with content to make more informed decisions about their health, while offering the professional community a portal for education and networking," says Bill Paquin, CEO of SpineUniverse, LLC. "We appreciate the recognition for these efforts and look forward to launching new services & tools for our community in the coming months."
