Two Bahamas Real Estate Brokers Celebrate Ten Years in the Business

April marked 10 years in the real estate business for Island Living Real Estate brokers Rachel Pinder and Brenda Knowles.

Pinder, principle broker of the Nassau, Bahamas agency, is a Nassau native who entered the real estate field in 1997 with a focus on rentals, and in 1998 increased her portfolio to include sales. She became a licensed real estate appraiser in 2005.

She is a member of the Council of Residential Specialists, the Bahamas Real Estate Association and holds a Bahamas Realtors Institute designation. Pinder served on the BREA board from 2004 to 2006 and currently serves on its Investigative Committee.

Pinder is experienced in all aspects of real estate, including residential and commercial sales and rentals, appraisals and property management. She is married with two daughters.

Knowles is a broker who hails from New Providence and also is a member of the Council of Residential Specialists and the Bahamas Real Estate Association.

Knowles served as vice-president and treasurer of the BREA board and chaired the Investigative Committee of BREA for 3 years. She holds Bahamas Realtors Institute and Council of Residential Specialists designations.

Knowles is a former Miss Bahamas and has an extensive background in the tourism, hotel and airline industries. She loves to help others and has been involved in community work for many years as a volunteer with Project Read Bahamas and The Crisis Centre. She is married with two children.
