Fanball Launches Pick'em 64 Superstar Baseball Tournament Contest

Fanball.com, the premier provider of online fantasy sports contests, content, strategy and insight, today announced the launch of its free Pick'em 64 Superstar Baseball tournament contest.

St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) May 28, 2008 -- Fanball.com, the premier provider of online fantasy sports contests, content, strategy and insight, today announced the launch of its free Pick'em 64 Superstar Baseball tournament contest.

The contest is a follow-up to Fanball's popular Pick'em 64 Basketball Tournament contest. Pick'em 64 Baseball is a free bracket-style fantasy baseball contest, featuring 64 of baseball's best hitters. Like the traditional college basketball bracket, there are six rounds of single-elimination, head-to-head match-ups. Each round lasts one week of the baseball season, and the winner of each match-up is determined by the player who produces more total bases during that stat week running Monday through Sunday. The two sides of the bracket are separated by the American League and National League, with the winners of each side facing off in the finals, thereby creating a head-to-head match-up between the American League and National League sluggers that have won their previous five match-ups. Participants predict the winner of all 63 match-ups before the contest begins and watch the contest unfold each week. The six-week contest starts on June 2 and ends just before the Major League Baseball All-Star Break on July 13.

Fanball is excited about developing a game that mixes the excitement of the NCAA bracket concept with the dedicated core audience of fantasy baseball
The top 20 overall finishers of the Pick'em 64 Superstar Baseball contest receive prizes from Locker Room Memorabilia, with the overall winner receiving a David Wright Autographed Bat. Participants of Pick'em 64 Superstar Baseball are also placed in 10-team leagues, with the top three finishers earning FanPoints, part of Fanball's Rewards Program. FanPoints can be redeemed for future entry and transaction fees for Fanball's games.

"Fanball is excited about developing a game that mixes the excitement of the NCAA bracket concept with the dedicated core audience of fantasy baseball," said Ryan Houston, Fanball's Senior VP of Business Development. "With our new sponsor on board, great prizes, free entry and an easy game format, this contest should be a huge hit in the fantasy space."

Pick'em 64 Superstar Baseball is one of many fantasy sports games and contests provided by Fanball.com. More information about Fanball's games and services can be found at Fanball.com.
