DiSTI's GL Studio toolkit has been selected by Hyundai Rotem for use on the K-Series Tank Platoon Simulator Visual System.

DiSTI and KCEI teamed to provided Rotem with a successful visual solution

DiSTI, a global leader in Human Machine Interface (HMI) development, today announced that KCEI Co., Ltd. (KCEI), an authorized DiSTI Value-Added Reseller in South Korea, has sold to Hyundai Rotem the GL Studio development toolkit for the creation of the visual systems of K-Series Tank Platoon Simulator (KTPS) Program in South Korea. The KTPS is the first virtual tactical tank simulation trainer developed under the Defense R&D Program of Korea Defense Acquisition Program Administration (KDAPA).

Hyundai Rotem, as the main contractor of the KTPS Program, plays a critical role in strengthening the Korean defense posture by developing K1/K1A1 tank and its family of vehicles. Hyundai Rotem, a worldwide leader in the advanced defense industry, specializes in the design and integration of land weapon systems and in the development of advanced armored systems.

"DiSTI and KCEI teamed to provided Rotem with a successful visual solution," said Hyun Joon Ko, president, KCEI Co. Ltd. "With a need to upgrade from older, more costly visual simulation technology, we evaluated multiple HMI toolkits and found DiSTI's GL Studio to be the best technology and value available on the market for this program."

"We are excited to have new inroads into the ever expanding South Korean market," said DiSTI President Joe Swinski. "Hyundai Rotem's use of GL Studio on this program is another major step for DiSTI's international expansion."
