New Christian book unveils the revival God is preparing Christians for

There is an ages-long spiritual battle being waged throughout the whole earth, and God's first line of defense is the prayer warriors He uses to stand in the gap and pray through the Holy Spirit to bring the petitions of man to God. Self-publishing Christian author Betty A. Collins, a prayer warrior herself, has just released a new book documenting the incredible intercession of prayer warriors everywhere. Travailing in Prayer (paperback, 978-1-60647-086-2) chronicles how for years, at 3:00 a.m., the Holy Spirit would wake her up to pray.

Recounts the author, "One morning I was awakened by a bright light shining in one corner of my bedroom. I felt led to pray for specific individuals. Later that day, the first person I prayed for called saying they woke up early that morning with chest pains and difficulty breathing. They're fine now."

The news media seems to only expound on all the negative--death, destruction, famine, poverty, hopelessness, and war--but it does not give any hope for life. Travailing in Prayer reveals how God is raising a spiritual army and preparing His people for a revival. "I had a dream about the 9/11 disaster before it happened," the author says. "In the dream, the Lord said His people should not worry. There will be wars and rumors of war. Do not put your trust in the arm of flesh but put your hope and trust in Him."

Betty A. Collins is an intercessor and has the gift of prophecy. She is the mother of one son, Robyn, and she currently resides in Pleasant Hill, California.
