Savannah River Club is slated to be the first lakefront community in Hart County, GA with a harbor master concierge service and other lifestyle enriching amenities including onsite covered boat storage, walking trails, clubhouse, junior Olympic pool and tennis courts.

MV Developments, an Atlanta based real estate development group, announced the opening of the first gated lakefront community at Lake Russell in Hart County, GA.

Called Savannah River Club, the development is planned to have 325 home sites situated on 435 acres along the pristine shores of Lake Russell near the town of Hartwell, GA. Plans call for a 5,500 sq. ft. clubhouse with a commercial kitchen, card room, exercise room and sitting room overlooking a junior Olympic swimming pool and kid's spray pool. Other amenities include onsite covered boat storage, walking trails, tennis courts, community gardens, a putting green and wildflower meadows.

"What makes Savannah River Club unique is the concept of the harbor master concierge service," said John Visser, marketing director of MV Developments. "Since private boat docks are not allowed on Lake Russell, the community provides easy access to the lake with this service. Call ahead and the harbor master will launch your boat at the ramp for you, then pick it up and take it back to the onsite covered boat storage at your request," he further added.

Commenting on the project, Frank Montagna, Design and Construction Director of MV Developments, said "The design of Savannah River Club is reflective of the need for the second home owner and retiring Boomer for security and a quality lifestyle. The gated community will have proximity badges for owners and a dial by name directory for visitors. "

Lake Russell is one of three lakes in the Savannah River Basin. Lake Hartwell releases water into Lake Russell, which in turn releases water into Lake Strom Thurmond, also known as Clarks Hill Reservoir. At 26,650 acres in size and 30 miles in distance from the north to the south end, Lake Russell is the fourth largest lake in Georgia. Unlike other US Army Corps of Engineer lakes, Lake Russell maintains a full pool year round.
