"If it weren't for the kindness of corporate sponsors such as Flowerpetal.com and our individual donors, we wouldn't be able to continue this work," offered Carol Mielke, President of Tassie's Hope Animal Rescue.
"Flowerpetal.com offers its same day flower delivery services across North America by working with local florists. However, reaching out wherever we can to the individual communities that we deliver flowers to through our network of florists is a very important part of our philosophy of being socially responsible," continued Mark Benjamin.
"Last year we placed over 250 animals into loving homes. The majority of these animals would have had met certain death at a local animal shelter where they would have been euthanized for lack of space, or they could have been the very unfortunate ones that try to fend for themselves on the streets where they are continually threatened with starvation in addition to being injured or killed when hit by motorists," said Carol Mielke.
"Animals, especially domestics, are unable to fend for themselves in our human world, and we as humans brought them into our lives, so we must care for them, speak for them, represent their best interests, and ultimately take responsibility for them, much the way we do for our children. The work that Carol and the team at Tassie's Hope does fits perfectly with this philosophy." said Mark.
