OEwaves, Inc. has been contracted to develop and demonstrate a miniaturized high performance OEO prototype for Air Force Research Laboratory that will generate reference signals in the Ka-band with low phase noise for a digital receiver/exciter module for an antenna array. OEwaves will design the oscillator based on patented Opto-Electronic Oscillator(OEO) and WGM micro-resonator technologies.
OEwaves' spectrally pure OEO and WGM micro-resonator technologies will address critical needs for enhancing current and future digital receiver/exciter system performances. The goal of OEwaves' development is to deliver a miniature Ka-band oscillator suitable for deployment in a variety of receiver/exciter platforms, capable of providing low phase noise outputs with wideband frequency agility in a miniature package.
